Back-to-School is just around the corner! I love getting all my back-to-school books out, they are extra special! Kevin Henkes is one of my favorite authors! I love reading his books to my class each year. One way we start the school year is by reading Chrysanthemum and talking about how many letters are in Chrysanthemum’s name and how many letters are in our names!
Next, we make this adorable and easy craft! This is a very easy activity to prep. I have created a wonderfully easy resource that makes it so simple, you pretty much hit print and are finished! If you have Astro paper you can put it through the printer or photocopier. If you choose to use construction paper the templates are all ready for you!

Bonus: If you have time to read more books by Kevin Henkes, a couple of my favorites are Wemberly Worries, Owen and Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse!
